Seasonal and food allergy / Hypersensitivity Testing

Seasonal allergies affect millions of people, yet can be easily tested for and treated. In-house scratch testing takes 20 minutes, and immunotherapy can provide relief that lasts for decades for most individuals. Even more common and often undiagnosed are food hypersensitivities. Affecting over 95% of the population, food hypersensitivity is the leading cause of IBS symptoms (bloating, gas, constipation, etc.) and often can cause headaches, weight gain, and inflammation throughout the body. A simple blood test can determine what foods need to be removed from the diet to eradicate symptoms.

Electromyography (EMG) Testing

Adept at testing the electrical activity in muscles or nerves, Electromyography (EMG) testing reveals any electrical irregularity in muscles or nerves that might be the cause of a patient’s pain.

Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) Testing

NCV Testing measures how well electrical impulses travel through a nerve. This test effectively identifies nerve injury and damage.

Functioning and Performance Testing

Radiographs

Physical medicine radiographers use very low levels of radiation to identify and analyze damage to a patient’s spine and extremities. The radiograph diagnostic test is non-invasive, working much like an x-ray.

Vascular Screenings

Optimal Health physical medicine specialists use vascular screenings to gauge a patient’s blood flow in relation to the patient’s blood pressure. This ultra-sonic diagnostic assessment can reveal serious conditions that may lead to eventual heart problems or stroke.
